Appointed time
For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks to the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay (Habakkuk 2:3, NIV).
In life being fast does not mean you’ll win the race; and being strong doesn’t mean you’ll win the battle. That you are wise doesn’t mean you will achieve great heights in life. Knowledge doesn’t guarantee wealth and neither does skill assure favour. When it comes to being lifted in life, God Almighty determines the ‘who’, the ‘where’, the ‘when’ and the ‘how’.
In life there is a time appointed by God for certain things to happen (See today’s text again). You might have made certain plans and set some goals that border on yourself, your spouse, sibling, or children. But God’s plans and timing may contradict yours. Your great revelations will only come to pass at their appointed times.
Don’t you think God may be training you for a particular time in the future or a certain assignment? For some folks, God knows that if they don’t undergo the kind of training they are undergoing now, their terrible downfall in the future will be inevitable. Have you considered how God raised Moses and Joseph into the limelight? They underwent rough trainings that made it appear like they wouldn’t make it; but they endured and God favoured them at their appointed times.
Psalm 102:13 says (God) will arise and have mercy on Zion; for the time to favor her, Yes, the set time, has come (NKJV). So, when it seems like God’s not doing anything about your case, just know He’s arranging something great for His set time. But then, your faithfulness, obedience and spiritual seriousness count so much at this time. Hence, you need to remain faithful and hold on courageously. Dear friend, God has an appointed time for you. May you not disappoint Him at the edge of your miracle. In Jesus mighty name!
