Everything about a woman suddenly changes immediately she becomes pregnant. The way she dresses, you can’t find her wearing a tight skirt anymore, you won’t find her wearing a jean trouser. She will no longer be comfortable wearing a body fitted gown, she can’t wear just any type of shoe anymore.

The food she eats also is affected, many delicacies suddenly become unpalatable to her, she easily gets irritated by any kind of food not suitable for her system, she either spits out or throws up each time she sees or perceives something that is unpleasant to her system. She suddenly cannot eat every thing she once loved. Even the places she go is affected is as well. A pregnant woman is restricted, she can’t just go everywhere, she can’t attend every social gathering or party .

People easily misunderstand her, people say she complains too much, it is not her fault, it is because she’s pregnant, another life is to be brought to the world through her, she can’t be like everyone else, you sure do not expect her to be normal.

Just as we have pregnant women, we also have pregnant Christians and just as the pregnant woman has signs and symptoms, the pregnant Christian also has.

Who is a pregnant Christian?

A pregnant Christian is one that is pregnant with destiny, one that is pregnant with dreams and purpose, one that has conceived and envisioned the future. The pregnant Christian is a purposeful Christian, one that sees what he/she is created to be, one that sees a glorious future and do not want anything to cut it short. Just as the pregnant woman, if caution is not applied can lose her baby, so also would the pregnant Christian miscarry the pregnancy if not mindful.

The pregnant Christian like the pregnant woman is restricted also, the pregnant Christian can’t go everywhere because he/she knows what he/she carries because she’s fully aware that pregnancies can be miscarried in certain places. The pregnant Christian does not dress anyhow, the pregnant Christian knows that his/her body is God’s temple , the pregnant Christian watches against anything that contradicts God’s word.

The pregnant Christian also goes for check-up regularly(spiritual check-up), to check if he/she is healthy enough to carry the pregnancy and to make sure the pregnancy is healthy, the holy ghost is the one who does this check-up.

The pregnant woman also spits out each time he/she takes in sin by mistake, sin irritates him/ her, sin is unpalatable to him/ her.

While others are seeing pleasure the pregnant Christian sees destiny, the pregnant Christian knows that a generation depends on him/her. Hence, does not want to be a failure. The pregnant Christian wants to fulfill purpose at all cost.

The church and the world at large is in need of pregnant Christians. Pregnant Christians are the hope of the future.
