Blessed are the pure in heart

Blessed are the pure in heartBlessed are the pure in heart

Mathew 5:8 “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.”

For the LORD searcheth the heart, and try the reins, to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doing. How about your heart? is it right with God? People often see you as you are outside, but Jesus really knows you for he sees the inside. Has your heart been darkened by sin? or is it pure within? Purity of heart is what counts before God.

The attributes of the pure in heart

He that loves pureness of heart – for the grace of his lips, the king shall be his friend. A pure heart is a precious pearl to God because he treasures it so much. Why? because he desires truth on the inside.

The pure in heart is free from the uncleanness of the mind. The pure in heart has no vacuum for unrighteous feelings, unclean thoughts, impure daydreaming, evil contrivances, conceives no lust. The pure in heart has no space for prerogative transgression, concedes no sin.

Instead, the pure in heart has enough space for love (Christ-like love), the pure in heart has enough vacuum for peace, joy, meekness, lowliness, humility, goodness, faith, and holiness. The pure in heart is devoted and consecrated to God in true worship. The pure in heart is not weary in well doing as long as it’s a necessity of the saints.

The pure in heart is a lover of holiness and will never allow the glory of his God to be trampled under foot. The pure in heart follows hard after that which is good, and glory not, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. The pure in heart abstains from all appearances of evil, and is not easily provoked.

The pure in heart does not rejoice in iniquity, neither does he when a vile person is condemned. The pure in heart only desires to dwell in the house of the LORD for ever, to behold the beauty of the LORD and to enquire in his temple. The pure in heart loves God with all his soul, with all his mind, with all his strength.

My friend, do you have this pure heart? have you been to the cross to receive of the promise of this pure heart?

Oh, why will you linger? Why will you wait? Come now to the cross, for the promise is unto you: “A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.”

Take me back LORD to the Refiner’s fire, break this chain and let me go free; I just can’t stay without sanctification, take me back LORD to holiness.
