Do you love God?

Do you love God?

1 Corinthians 13:7 Love never gives up

After the death and resurrection of Jesus, Simon Peter led other disciples to fishing (John 21). They abandoned the work that Jesus placed in their hands. Since Jesus was no where to be found, they returned to their fishing job.

This was the same Peter who said in Matthew 26:33 that “I will never leave you, even though all the rest do!” But he led them to fishing. They gave up too soon! Jesus had to appear to them, to bring them back to Himself. Jesus said to Simon Peter, “do you love me more than these others do?”

Do you love God? If your answer is “yes”, how much do you love Him? Don’t forget, love never gives up.

Your ability to patiently wait on God proves your love for Him.

Your ability to trust in Him irrespective of what you are passing through, proves how much you love Him.

Your ability to endure persecution, trial, and temptation, because you believe in Him, proves how much you love Him.

Your ability to press on, hold on to the faith, shows how much you love Him.

If you have not surrendered your life to Jesus, you can not claim that you love Him. You need to give your life to Jesus.

Are you ready? Confess the following: Lord Jesus, I come to you as a sinner. Forgive me all of my sins. I belief you came to save me. I accept you as my Lord and savior. Please write my name in the book of life. Thank you Jesus. Amen.

Receive the grace to love God deeply in Jesus’ name. Amen.
