Every secret will be exposed
Ecclesiastes 12:14 “For God shall bring every work into judgement, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.”
Brothers and sisters, take your stand for righteousness, in all you do, there is an eternal, infinite Eye watching from above. The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good. You may cover your sin that nobody may know, you cannot hide it from God. It is written, “For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.”
Hypocrisy is dangerous. And it is not only a sin against God, but a sin against our own soul. But I’m afraid, there will be no excuse on that great judgment day as to why we rejected the life of holiness and righteousness. Secret sin is a cankerworm that destroys the soul, hinders progress, limits success, and damns the soul for ever in eternal fire.
Think about Achan. He committed sin, transgressing the command of God in taking the accursed thing: Babylonish garment, and two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold of fifty shekels weight, and coveted them. He thought his sin wouldn’t be discovered, probably because of the multitude of the Israelites, and that they won’t find or discover him.
Remember the words of Moses in Numbers 32:23 “But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out.” Eventually this scripture became fulfiled, and will keep be fulfilled. Achan by lot was exposed, and he was stoned to death, not only him but all his household. According to the word of God, “visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children.”
Are you still committing and living in secret sin? I tell you the truth, Nay, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Because he that covereth his sins shall not prosper. And the LORD is calling you to repentance even now, saying unto you, “Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.”
God is ready to forgive, Christ is able to save, the Holy Spirit is willing to help, if only you will yield to the call of repentance and amend your ways. You may think everything is alright, because on the outside you’re respected by people, but you know your inside is a sepulchre full of dead men bones.
Finally, you know that in the secret, all those dirty habits has chased away the holy Ghost who is grieved at sin, and the impenitent. Come to the cross and let the power in the blood of the Lamb redeem you from all iniquity, and purify you unto himself a peculiar saint, zealous of good works to the glory of God the Father, through Jesus Christ our Lord and blessed Saviour. REPENT today!
