GENUINE CONVERSION: The starting point of walking with Christ

GENUINE CONVERSION: The starting point of walking with ChristGENUINE CONVERSION: The starting point of walking with Christ

2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

Salvation is wonderful.

There is a wonderful change that is wrought in the life of a sinner that believes in the Lord Jesus Christ. Turning from bad to good, from a sinner to a saint, from a wretch to a product of divine grace. Yes indeed, the new birth experience is a must prerequisite to see the kingdom of God.

Salvation is the plan of God for every creature under the heavens. And every man irrespective of whatever race he may be, is entitled to the free grace of God in Christ Jesus, if he repents and believe. Because the promise of God is to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call.

It’s important to note that, for you to have a relationship with God, you must be born again. There must be real conversion, turning away from sin to God, and a definite decision in pledging allegiance to Christ.

There should be a particular day which you should be able to point to as a day when you really met the LORD of grace. You should also be able to recall exactly happened, as to your testimony of salvation. That’s why John the Baptist told those Pharisees and Sadducees who came to his baptism; he said, “Bring forth therefore fruit meet for repentance.”

It is only when you are really born again, that you can start to experience heavenly visitation, and disposition of grace in your soul. You would be able to tell someone of the great change in your life like, “Once I was blind, now I can see. Once I was a liar, now I am honest. Once I was immoral, but now I am clean. Once I was wicked, but now I am kindhearted and compassionate.”

Salvation, real salvation, will bring a total change, a total transformation in your life. I’m not talking about it for religious sake, but speaking with full assurance in my heart, because by the grace of God, I’ve experienced it, and I know, things are different now, something happened to me when I (Reagan) gave my life to Jesus Christ.

You too can begin a relationship with Jesus Christ our Lord today, if you will turn from your wicked ways and seek his forgiveness, you shall be saved. And God will give you a new life of righteousness, and his infinite grace will sustain you as you grow into the fullness of Christ. I tell you the truth, salvation is wonderful. The peace of God, and joy of the new birth in the soul of a convert will make him so happy that he won’t know when he will tell someone, “Come and see.”

Christ is still calling now. Check your heart, are you born again? Is there a point of reference as to when a new life began in you? It’s not religion: probably you were born in the church, you know all the songs and doctrines, that’s not it. Ye must be born again! Seek the LORD while he may be found, call upon him while he is nigh.

Before the Saviour calls again, you may cry a million tears before he calls again; you may waste precious years, he’s calling now the door is open, come inside while you can, you may suffer needless heartache before he calls again.

Give your life to the Lord, turn away from your sins; believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved.
