Have you found you?
What matters to me is to finish what God started: the job the Master Jesus gave me… (Acts 20:24, MSB).
At times, until you know what you are not assigned to do, you may not discover the assignment God has for you on earth. The greatest wealth of a man is not his education, money or talent but his purpose. That’s why, having discovered it, Apostle Paul prayed that he ‘…may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given (him)…’ (Acts 20:24, NIV).
There is a reason God brought you to the earth. The earlier you discover it the better. One’s success and sense of fulfillment can only be achieved when one knows what he is called to do. To Apostle Paul, what matters most is finishing the job the Lord assigned to him. What about you? Who assigned what you are doing right now to you? Sometimes parents, friends, one’s ego or circumstances push people into wrong purposes. So, in case you already discovered that the direction you are going right now is not leading you to your divine purpose, it’s not too late to retreat from such a journey.
Meanwhile, if you don’t know the ‘WHAT’, how can you know the ‘HOW’ of your purpose? Knowing WHAT you are called to do precedes knowing HOW to go about it. Of what use is increasing one’s speed when one is heading for a wrong direction? Anything that you are pursuing that does not glorify God is NOT and CANNOT be God’s purpose, but a devil’s scam.
Do you want to find divine purpose? Then, become a child God. He gives true purpose to man and expects man to use it to glorify Him. One more thing: you need to humbly and persistently ask Him to lead you into the discovery of your purpose. With tenacity on your own part, He surely will answer you. May you not give up until you have found your divine purpose. In Jesus mighty name!
