Holiness is indispensable

Holiness is indispensableHoliness is indispensable

Isaiah 35:8 “And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.”

Scriptural holiness is indispensable. It is a spiritual badge that differentiates heavenly citizens from the children of the world. Holiness is an unfathomable essence, which has its origin from the ever blessed eternal God. It is implanted in born again saints which makes them partakers of his divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Due to the, essence of holiness, every child of God who has his heart fixed on getting to heaven, must be holy, because the eternal God is holy. It says, “Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD God Almighty.” Telling us that the undivided triune God is holy. And anyone who will have fellowship with the eternal God here on earth, and in heaven must strive to be holy. Holiness is non-negotiable if heaven is your goal. You can do without holiness with regards to worldly and temporal things, but if you want to get to heaven, you can’t do without holiness.

You can do without money, but you can’t do without holiness. You can do without a house, but you can’t do without holiness. You can do without a car, but you can’t do without holiness. You can do without educational qualifications, but you can’t do without holiness. You can do without landed property, but you can’t do without holiness. You can do without flamboyant clothes, but you can’t do without holiness. You can do without a wife or husband, but you can’t do without holiness. You can do without position/power, but you can’t do without holiness. You can do without family and relatives, but you can’t do without holiness.

That was why Jesus told his disciples, that except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of God. So for them to enter the kingdom of grace and glory, he further said, seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness (holiness). Also, when Christ saw that barely seeking will not avail much, he said, “Strive to enter in.”Whatever you can do, do it so as to attain this holiness of heart and life.

As we are preparing for heaven, let’s make sure that if every other thing fluctuates, holiness is in the continuum. There will be no excuse as to why we did not live a holy life on the day of judgment, because the scripture tells us that every man that hath this hope in him, purifieth himself even as he is pure. The cross of Christ is for us.

Let us therefore go unto him by faith, and let the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unto God without spot, purge our conscience from dead works to serve the living God. Having a true heart, with full assurance of faith, let us draw near, because he is faithful that promised.

No holiness of heart and life, no heaven. God will not reduce the standard of holiness. The word of God is for ever settled in heaven. Without holiness no man shall see the Lord.
