Ingredients of faith

Ingredients of  faith

I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea’, and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him (Mark 11:23, NIV).

Faith is to believe and act in a way that shows that you know that God’s word is true, even when it seems there are no physical evidences. Faith is convinced that it has received the substance of what is expected when no one has seen it naturally. Faith defies logic; it challenges nature; and defeats the norm.

Faith works hand in hand with the following ingredients:

1. Action

The Bible says faith without works is dead. Action must follow faith. What you believe must be put into action. It is the action you put into faith that paralyses doubts, fear and uncertainty.

2. Expectation

Faith is no faith without any expectation. Faith is expressed in expectation. Expectation guides your faith and faith must hold on tightly to it.

3. Patience

The Bible says we should hold fast to the profession of our faith without wavering (Heb. 10:23). That’s talking about patience. You hold patiently without losing faith or enthusiasm. The Bible says it is by faith and patience that we inherit God’s promises (Heb. 6:12;15).

4. Confession

Faith confesses positively. It does not talk defeat, lack, poverty, fear, worry, anxiety, hopelessness, sickness, tragedy, failure or the likes. Positive confessions fuel your faith and positive actions.

5. Obedience

Faith obeys God. It submits to God’s word. It follows God’s injunctions. Any faith that disobeys the word of God is not faith, but fake.

Dear friend, we need to starve our fears to death by feeding our faith on God’s word. May we receive the grace to remain steadfast in faith. In Jesus mighty name!

Today’s corporate prayer: You faith killers in my life, be uprooted now! In the name of Jesus!
