Internal Victory Mechanism
You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world (I John 4:4, NKJV).
Greater is Jesus in us than the devil that’s in the world. As a Christian, greater is the One in you! As a peculiar person and a member of the royal priesthood, you can stand on the truth that God owns you, and that He will defend his interest in your life. If as men, we protect and defend our own, how much more would God?
You may have to pass through some difficult circumstances, endure certain hardships or fight very tough battles. But one thing is certain – God will not allow the enemy to overcome you because of all He has invested in you to take you this far. Just as a father sacrifices a lot of things to ensure that his children live a good life, God too does everything possible to give the best things to you – His very own.
So, any time the devil attempts to destroy you, God intercepts him and say ‘Do not touch my beloved son (or daughter); I have done a lot of work, arranged and rearranged so many things to “bring” him (or her) this far. Take your hands off his life, marriage, career, vision, ministry and health immediately’. When God issues a command in this manner, you can imagine how the devil ‘disappears’ instantly! (See I Chronicles 16:22).
Dear friend, don’t let go of your faith. Keep feeding on the word of God everyday to strengthen your faith. Don’t relent in your prayers. Keep discouragement at bay. Open your heart daily to receive God’s fresh words of grace. Your victory is settled in Christ. I pray, may you come to know that your prayers cannot go without giving you ultimate victory over all your troubles. In Jesus name!
