Keeping in touch

Staying in touch

As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God (Psalm 42:1, NKJV).

There is no better way to know God more, love Him more and serve Him more than to develop a deeper personal relationship with Him. To achieve this we need to spend time with God daily as He teaches us from His word, and we respond to Him in prayer.

Anyone who wants to know God better and grow spiritually cannot afford to do without praying and reading the Bible and Christian literatures. We must strive to maintain a constant walk with God. If not we gradually lose our spiritual grip on the things of the spirit.

The devil knows that as long as you maintain a constant touch with God through your daily fellowship with Him, he can’t attack you through worries, fear, doubt, anxiety, depression, anger, bitterness, hatred, unforgiving spirit, lack of interest to pray or study Godly literatures, and so on. So he systematically introduces distractions and interruptions into your time of devotion through things such as phone calls, addiction to your phone or sleep, strong interest in the TV, over-busyness with job or business which causes physical exhaustion and inability to pray effectively, and so on.

Friends we must take our personal fellowship with God as something more important than anything else. No matter the level of effort and time required, we must maintain or restore our time of devotion with God. As Christians, our spiritual survival at this end times depends on it. May we receive the grace for a vibrant daily walk with the Lord. In Jesus mighty name!

Today’s corporate prayer: O Lord, turn me to your weapon of battle. In the name of Jesus!
