Let Others See Jesus in You

LET OTHERS SEE JESUS IN YOU

_Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see you good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven._

A tree is known by its fruit, so also is a Christian.
A Christian is a light to his world, an ambassador of Christ, a workmanship of God, and a salt to season his world.

The saints of old manifested the light of Christ wherever they went, and this caused a deep impression in the hearts of their beholders to not only acknowledge them as good men. But reckon them as Christians, implying these have been with Christ. In other words, they are “Little Christ.”

They were truly holy and righteous. Even far back in the old convenant, the lives of some saints showed forth godliness. Can we think of what the woman see, who daily beholding the prophet Elisha as he walked pass, and could not but say, *”This is an holy man of a God.”* His very life, his conduct, his dispositions, and his relationship with people commanded respect.

Therefore, the LORD is calling us to a life of light. And this can only be possible if we have our eyes single to God. Because God is light and in him is no darkness at all. And if we could but say like the psalmist, *”Whom have I in heaven but thee, and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee”*, in no sooner time we ourselves we become filled with wisdom, holiness, and happiness, because as he is so are we in this present world.

But on the contrary we find many who profess to be Christians today, but their lives are not different from what they were. Infact, they are barriers to others who would have come to the knowledge of the truth. Because sin is in them, sin darkens their way, and sin doth hinder the light.
Others too who profess religion and perform external religious activities may be said to be almost Christians, but not altogether Christian.
_A CHRISTIAN IS NOT A SINNER, AND A SINNER IS NOT A CHRISTIAN!_

The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness and put on the armour of light. For you can only be well known to be of God if by your fruits you do show forth your works that they are wrought in God.

A Christian’s life is a book to the sinners and unbelieving world. He is a defender of the faith, a holiness militant, a soldier of the Cross, and a fearless preacher of the word of God.
I ask myself, and you ask yourself, Are we truly Christians?
Jesus answered a scribe who displayed wisdom in his response to Christ: and the Lord Jesus said unto him, _”Thou art not far from the kingdom of God.”_ Reader art not thou? Then enter, and remain not at where you are, otherwise it would be better for you to have been afar of.

Beloved, let others see Jesus in you!
