‘…“As I live”, says the Lord God, “I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die…” ’ (Ezekiel 33:11; NKJV).
A young man met a friend in his new car. He was very surprised. He wanted to know how his friend became rich. His friend promised to show him how he was now in money. He told the young man to come and see him. On getting to his friend’s place, he saw wealth in display. This friend later took him to another man. The three of them took off and drove to a popular stream in their area. This third man told them to wait for him as he walked towards the stream. He kept going until the water covered him up completely.
Some minutes later, the man came back with an unknown drink. He gave it to the young man to drink and he drank it. On getting to the third man’s house, he used a new razor blade to make an incision on the young man and closed it with a black substance. At this point he congratulated the young man on his initiation into their cult. Three days later, they were at another river. The drink and the incision did not allow the water to touch them as they walked into the river.
They got to the hall at the bottom of the river where many notable men and women were already seated. Hunger for power and wealth brought all of them to the mermaid spirit. There were beautiful girls who served them food and drinks. The young man’s friend warned him not to scream nor call the name of Jesus any time the spirit appeared. Later, it was time to distribute invisible rings to the first timers. Any time they entered public transport and rubbed the rings together, there would be an accident that would result to loss of lives to fill their blood bank.
Within three months, the young man’s business experienced a sudden boom. He became very rich. But then, he now needed to have a personal meeting with the mermaid spirit so as to donate three souls, one of which must be from his family. His mother’s picture came forth and he became upset. He was ready to give anyone except his mother.
Two days later, the spirit appeared to him in his house and advised him to stop his stubbornness. He went bankrupt and was at the verge of death before he ran to Jesus for help. He confessed all his evils, surrendered his life to Jesus and became totally free.
Dear friend, no matter how far you have gone into darkness; if you are willing to be rescued today; you can run to Jesus. You will be set free. In Jesus name!
