Speak
‘And God said, “Let there be light”, and there was light’ (Genesis 1:3, RSV).
Before God spoke the words in our opening text above, we were made to know that the earth was empty, a formless mass cloaked in darkness. And the Spirit of God was hovering over its surface. The earth was, according to the Message Bible, a soup of nothingness, a bottomless emptiness and an inky blackness. The earth was nothing but a chaos until God spoke His words. But after God’s word, the earth became a desirable place.
The earth’s new serenity remained until the devil intruded into the plans of God. It is noteworthy that the devil hates anything that God loves. Even if that thing doesn’t affect the devil in anyway, he will develop hatred for it for the very fact that God loves it. That’s why he’s the devil and anti-God. He hated man simply because man was an object of God’s love and a reflection of His glory. The devil thus deceived our first parents and they fell for his deception. Since then, the world has returned to being a chaotic place.
However, as for God’s children, being in this devilish world doesn’t give room for being overcome by evil. One instrument we have is our tongue. Our words must be in conformity with God’s. We must constantly speak what we desire; and our desires ought to be scripturally correct, too. We must speak off all forms of stagnation, emptiness, confusion, fear, evil conformity, bondage and dullness away from our spirit, soul and body. Satanic threats must be confronted with scripture-based words of power.
No matter the level of disorderliness, God’s and your words will restore order. No matter how long a negative situation has been in place, His and your words will bring about a turnaround. No matter the strength of the enemy, God’s words from your mouth will paralyze the enemy’s powers and render them powerless.
It’s time to speak light into our darkness. We must speak healing upon all forms of sicknesses. We must speak freedom upon all bondages and captivities.
We must speak confusion upon all conspiracies. We must speak destruction upon all destructive attackers. We must load ourselves with the word and speak the same. Friends, let’s keep speaking God’s words. Our words shall prevail. In Jesus name!
