Stronger than all
When a strongman, fully armed, guards his own house, his possessions are safe. (Luke 11:21, NIV).
It is interesting that Satan was the strongman that Jesus was referring to here. As it were, the devil has under his control the blessings, dominion, prosperity, destiny and deliverance of many lives.
But there is a stronger than he – Jesus Christ – who can be invited into life situations through persistent prayers. Such prayers are focused, unrelenting and at times, unconventional. As a result, the Lord eventually arises, defends the oppressed and gives him victory to strip the devil of his unlawful dominion; because the oppressed has decided to pray until something happens. So, will you stop or continue praying?
Jesus has stripped the devil of his power! He said all the power in heaven and on earth has been given to him. He took away the armour in which Satan trusted and divided his spoil.
By faith and incessant prayers; we enforce the victory of our Lord Jesus over the devil and his cohorts. Don’t forget that Jesus is the Captain; and we are in His army. Satan is a defeated foe. So, let us use the weapon of unrelenting prayers to bombard and rout his troops. We have the victory. In Jesus mighty name!
Today’s corporate prayer: O Lord; turn me to a prayer champion. I shall not be a weakling in the place of prayer. In Jesus name!
