The Power of Holiness

James 5:16b “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” 

A man who has visited Calvary, that is, his sins have been forgiven, has a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ – and experiences God’s sanctifying grace, resulting from holiness in his life, enjoys one of the greatest blessings of God. Holiness in the heart and life of a believer, makes him intrepid, and having confidence in all situations that whatsoever he asks, he would recieve because he keeps God’s commandments.

Holy men of old were able to wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.

Why do the heathen rage? Thou shalt speak no more in this man’s (Jesus) name. And then those holy apostles and disciples went back to their closet, and prayed, “Lord, behold their threatenings: grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word. And when they had prayed the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were filled with the Holy Ghost, and spake the word of God with boldness.” These happened because they were holy. Do you think they would have been filled if they were not holy? It is called the Spirit of holiness, and it dwells in holy saints.

This day, we shall know the true God of Israel. Just one man against four hundred and fifty men, and because of holiness, God proved himself.

Is your God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions? Here comes the voice of a holy man, “My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lion’s mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him (internal) innocency was found in me; and also before thee (external,) O king, have I done no hurt.” This happened because of holiness.

Show me the witch, show me the wizard, show me the lion that is going to and fro in the earth that can touch a holy man? Show me the demons, the legions of demons from the pit of hell that can touch a holy man? That Satan, that demon, does not exist. Holiness makes a fence around you, holiness keeps you on the side of the angels. Holiness makes you a favourite of heaven, holiness gives you confidence in prayer. Holiness is the power of a Christian.

How much more can I say of Shedrach, Meshach, and Abednego, Samuel, and others, because of holiness, they were able to do great things. And were profitable tools in the hands of Almighty God. I pray that this holiness, God will give it to us. Don’t mind what you’ve been in the past. Today, if thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. Holiness is good. And God will herald holy men for endtime holistic revival.

Holiness of heart and life is attainable in Christ Jesus.
