Touch

Touch Touch

‘For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well’ (Mark 5:28; NKJV).

There was a woman in the Bible popularly known as the woman with the issue of blood. She actually had a hemorrhage which is a heavy release of blood from the body. She had been in this situation for twelve years. In fact, that she hadn’t died was, to me, a miracle in itself. She suffered a great deal from a long succession of doctors who couldn’t cure her condition, but took all her money and leaving her worse than before.

She heard about Jesus. She knew it would be difficult to get Jesus’ attention, let alone tell Him about her challenge. But that wouldn’t discourage her. She determined to, at least, touch His clothing with the faith that that would secure her healing.

So with all her strength, she slipped in from behind and, against all odds, touched His robe. The moment she did this, the bleeding stopped and she knew that she had been healed. This woman’s life is a challenge to us today as we can learn a lot from her courage.

It doesn’t matter how long ago a trouble started, divine intervention can terminate it in a twinkling. It’s just a matter of not giving up. We also see that Jesus has the answer to problems which human or medical intervention cannot handle. Another thing to learn from the woman is that if one is really determined to reach out to Jesus, no human or non-human obstacles can stop him.

Obviously, this woman had no one to even help her when she was pushing through the crowd, but she still scaled through. So, you shouldn’t complain of having no one to help you. You can decide to reach out to Jesus in faith, even by yourself.

Fortunately, He’s with you right there where you are. The woman didn’t say, “If I can’t get him today, I may probably get another opportunity later.” Neither did she say, “I have tried all I could. I am tired of trying.” So, friend, arise and touch Him today. I pray, no obstacle shall hinder you anymore. In Jesus name!

Today’s Corporate Prayer: O God arise, let all long-term problems in the lives of the saints expire today. In Jesus mighty name!
