Who Am I?
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father… (James 1:17, KJV).
Have you found your gift in life? Have you discovered your calling? Until we do, success may not yet be in view. A lot of people are trying really hard to find their place in life. When they see others flourishing with their gifts, they feel inferior and fear that they do not have any significant value.
Such folks keep asking: ‘Where lies my strength?’ ‘What am I called to be?’ ‘Where am I supposed to be going in life?’ Some have even tried to do different things without success. And now they are getting really troubled and desperate.
The answer to the question of discovering one’s gift is to ask the One who gives gifts from above – the Father himself. (James 1:17). He will show you the gift(s) He has deposited in you. Only be submissive, open and sensitive to him. Focus on your strengths, not weaknesses. The truth is you don’t have to be someone else. You were made to be you.
Each of us must bear it in mind that if we don’t want to be goalless, or pursuing a wrong goal in life, we must discover our gifting. I pray, May God show us where we are supposed to be going and empower us to get there. In Jesus name!
