A Purpose-driven Life

…Live purposefully and worthily….not as the unwise…but as wise (Ephesians 5:15, AMP).

To know if you are growing, you have to check how you are doing with your personal goals. Do you have a purpose-driven life? Here are some ingredients that you need to live a great life.

Ask God for his purpose for you: The Bible says ‘There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death’. (Proverbs 14:12, NIV). Write it down and if possible, and take it around with you. If not, you’ll forget it with time.

Set a time frame: This will keep you on your toes and prevent procrastination. It will help you to do the right things with your time.

Act: If you don’t take step by step actions towards reaching your goal, nothing will be implemented. You must be doing something on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to systematically and eventually reach your goal.

Set aside time for prayer and study of spirit-edifying books daily. Decide to read through the Bible in a year. Face everything that makes you fear. Never allow any period in your life when you are not ‘pursuing’ something worthwhile.

Do you have a sense of where you are going, or you are just drifting along with whatever circumstances dictate to you? Ensure to get a leading from God and take your duty up from there. There is need to consistently depend on Him because there can be no success without Him. I pray; May we discover what God wants us to live for. In Jesus name!
