When you are interrupted

When you are interrupted

When the Lord saw that he had caught Moses’ attention, God called to him from the bush, “Moses! Moses! Here I am!” Moses replied (Exodus 3:4, NLT).

It is quite significant that God sometimes suddenly breaks into our lives, just like He did to Moses. And to show His supremacy, He doesn’t allow us to have full knowledge of some things we are going to face.

Consider these events: One day Saul was on his way to Damascus and the Lord ‘arrested’ him. And that was it! His life was never going to remain the same again! Elisha too was tending his animals when Prophet Elijah suddenly arrived to anoint him as his successor. Elisha’s life took a new turn from that moment!

God can do anything or allow anything to happen to us at some points along the journey of life. This is to make us live by faith and not by sight. If we trustingly follow God through it, we will discover that they are God’s way of helping us get spiritually stronger and develop a more personal relationship with Him.

God does not do or allow anything just for the fun of it. If He ‘interrupts’ your plans, it is to bring out the best in you. So, if you are a candidate of unexpected and ‘hurtful’ interruptions, perhaps it is God’s way of saying: “Welcome to a new realm of uncommon power, unavoidable rebranding and unprecedented demonstration of my grace”. I pray, May God shatter our strength and fill us with His own grace. In Jesus name!

Today’s corporate prayer: O Lord, help me to encounter you so that I would seize to be the old me. In the mighty name of Jesus!
