Heavenly Stamp
God has given gifts to each of you from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Manage them well so that God’s generosity can flow through you (I Psalm 4:10, NLT).
Passion to be fulfilled and be a blessing to countless lives should drive you into discovering your gifting. Such a discovery makes one to set his goals in life. To achieve this goal, one needs to prayerfully plan and be disciplined to commit himself to training and learning.
Success is a process and you should not give up during this process. Your zeal must not diminish. Note that it takes discipline to sharpen your gifts so as to achieve your goal. It requires some sacrifices too. You may need to sacrifice your sleep, comfort, time, pleasure, and so on; without leaving till tomorrow something you can do today.
No matter the upheavals or obstacles, be patient but determined. Never allow discouragement to crave in on you. Always look at the grace and glory attached to your gifting and the victory awaiting your perseverance. Consider also the number of souls God has decided to bless through you and your ministry and think about the significance of such a responsibility.
Your past should not limit you now. Don’t listen to detractors. It’s just normal that every worthy cause attracts detractors. There is no harm in starting small, but ensure you really have God’s backing and tenacious passion for what you are aiming at.
Finally don’t forget about the Giver of the vision and calling. If you frequently remind yourself that He made you and gave you all that you have, you will always want to use your gift(s) to promote His glory.
Today’s corporate prayer: O Lord, open my eyes to the hidden potentials you have deposited into me. In the mighty name of Jesus!
