Keep Yourself Pure

Keep Yourself Pure

1 Timothy 5:22 – Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men’s sins: keep thyself pure.

The world in which we live today is highly messed up with sin. Immorality is the order of the day.

It used to be hidden sites that sinners log-in to view dirty images and pictures; but these days satan has made it so convenient to behold lasciviousness by mere eye sight of the people of the world.

Sin flows everywhere like a stream, and it has covered many ground. Men drink iniquity as water, and the people of the dark now practise all forms of uncleanness, and that openly. Throwing off of moral restraint with an unbelievable increase in immorality.

The church which is the bride of Christ is called to purity and complete abstinence from all the sins of the world. This world will be judged because Christ condemned it on the cross. So therefore anyone that will participate in the atrocities of this world is an enemy of God.

If we eat like they eat, dress like they dress, think like they think, act like they act, and there’s no difference between us and them, we cannot be said to pure.

Thus saith the Lord, “Come out from among them and be ye separate, touch no unclean thing, depart from the midst of her, all ye that bear the vessels of the Lord.

Should we say that we are so spiritual and then we can touch sisters as if nothing is happening?

Should we begin to counsel the opposite gender into deep private reserves on the basis that we are too spiritual disregarding the word of purity?

Should we make our close associates to be of the other gender because we think that we have gone beyond falling?

I tell you nay, “let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. Let us flee from anything that will trigger us to sin.

Christ is coming for a glorious church without spot, blemish, wrinkle or any such thing.

True holiness and purity will be required of us when we cross over to the other side. Infact, it may be seen on that beautiful pearly gates of the holy city, “BLESSED ARE THE PURE IN HEART: FOR THEY SHALL SEE GOD.
