Beware of the dog which bites its owner (Lessons from Evangelists Reinhard Bonnkke and Richard Ngidi)

There was this great man of God who worked with Reinhard Bonnkke, his name is Richard Ngidi. This great man of God was the kingpin of the two God was using to perform signs and wonders in Reinhard Bonnkke’s ministry and he was really gifted in the area of miracles, signs and wonders in his calling.

During those days Reinhard Bonnkke would preach and step down from the platform for this man of God to do what he knows best to do. He was the one that God gave the privilege and power to perform signs and wonders in the ministry.

So he was highly gifted and equipped to be a strong supporting pillar to Reinhard Bonnkke; and the ministry was really growing rapidly. Then Pride, the cause of many heroes’ fall, the psalmist described in this way, “How’re the mighty fallen” set in. That great man of God began to think of himself as the maker and producer of the miracles, signs and wonders, and the life being of Reinhard Bonnkke, as if without him Reinhard Bonnkke’s ministry would collapse.

He went further to state that, after all, he was the one performing the miracles and Reinhard Bonnkke was just there taking the glory, honor and credit. To top it all up, the ministry also was in his name. One day, this man of God went to Reinhard Bonnkke’s Aide/Assistant and said that “the day he will leave Reinhard Bonnkke, that day will mark the end of Bonnkke and his ministry”.

Afterwards, there was a crusade he was to minister and officiate one day, he purposefully didn’t show up, which happened to be the last time they ministered together. Reinhard Bonnkke waited but he never turned up. Frustrated and disappointed, Bonnkke mounted the podium, wholely trusting and solely depending on the Holy Spirit who in fact, equipped and empowered him for a great harvest of souls that day. And guess what?
God used him mightily in miracles, signs and wonders that day.

Obviously, that day marked the genesis of his ministerial success and triumph. Instead of that day to be the end of Reinhard Bonnkke, it became the day of his glorious beginning and reign in ministry. And the unfortunate day of the end of that great man of God, Richard Ngidi. Time passed, one day that man of God came to one of Reinhard Bonnkke’s programs and saw multitude and manifestations of signs and wonders God was using His servant Reinhard Bonnkke to perform, he went to him to express his regrets over his shortcomings, it was there he said, “I missed it, I missed it”. After that he left the venue.

That was the last time they met. They never saw each other again until he died shortly after that. It may be that he committed suicide like Judas Iscariot after God’s withdrawal of His gifts from him. Hence, beware of PRIDE friends, it’s a dog that can bite the owner.

Today Reinhard Bonnkke has become a household name in the whole Christian family of our time. But Richard Ngidi is not known, despite being anointed for signs and wonders, he died and perished with his gifts.
And never to be remembered because he was selfish. However, Reinhard Bonnkke still lives on even though he’s dead today, yet his name shall always live and remain afresh in the hearts of all men and women of the Christendom.
