Tree not mature cannot bear fruit

According to the general law of life, it is biologically proved that a life that is not grown and matured cannot produce or bear fruits. Be it in the human, animal and botanical world. Thus, this also is applicable to the spiritual world. Hear what the Scriptures says about John the Baptist and Jesus!

“And the child John grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts until the day of his showing unto Israel” Luke 1: 80.

“And the child (Jesus) grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him” Luke 2: 40.

This is a typical example of what God is saying. A tree that is not grown and mature cannot bear fruits. Therefore, the Lord is saying that not everything that is happening to us today is caused by Satan and our enemies. The reason some people’s prayers have not been answered is because they have not grown in patience and maturity.

They are still immature, impatient and unable to hold, handle and keep that which the Lord will commit into their hands to take care off, keep and account for lest it turns out to destroy them and cause them sorrow, instead of eternal peace and joy.

Besides, some of them are still living in secret sins, not been yet free from the sins that beset them. So, how can He answer them under this condition? Except they entirely quit their sins, repent and show remorse for those sins.

It will be important to site the case of a young man who told his father that he wants to get married. His father told him to first marry patience. He erroneously thought his father was talking about him getting married to a girl in their village named Patience.

It did not occur to him that his father was talking about him becoming mature in mind before going into marriage. He didn’t understand! He really thought that it was village girl called patience that was his father’s choice. Because of that, he said no! His father said okay no problem!

The young man’s father told his son that he will be away on a trip for three before his son will get married. Before he embarked on the trip, he went and purchased pigs and told his son to feed and look after them till he returns. He embarked on the journey. But before he returned, the son had killed all the pigs.

When he came back and did not see the pigs, he asked his son about them, the son replied that they were dead, he has killed them. His father wanted to know why? The young man’s response was that they couldn’t bear.
