Connecting to Promotion

For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another (Psalm 75:6; KJV).

When it comes to promotion, God is the determinant factor. Except God helps a man, every effort to help him might not yield results. If promotion does not come from man, then, demotion can’t come from him either (Psalm 75:7). No man can actually promote or demote you. It’s not in the power of any man to do that.

Joseph’s brothers did their best to demote him. At a point, they even quipped: ‘Let’s see now how his dreams will come true’. They thought it was in their power to demote him; but alas they only ended up initiating the process that eventually promoted him.

Do you have some people who could conveniently help you but ignored you? You might even have friends or siblings in different parts of the world who should help you, but are not even thinking about doing that. We must come to realise that man’s help comes from above, not abroad.

Is it right to put one’s total hope in man and still claim to trust in God? I know it isn’t. So, as from today, learn to focus your attention on God. Promotion comes only by Him and from Him. I pray that His searchlight of mercy and upliftment will find you today. In Jesus mighty name!
