Finish

Finish what you started in me, God…don’t quit on me’ (Psalms 138:8, MSB).

How a thing ends is more important than how it begins. That’s why the Bible said though your beginning was small your latter end shall greatly increase. The beauty of starting a thing is to finish it. It’s not worth it to quit a journey in the middle of it. We must run our race to the finish line. When God started the work of creation He didn’t stop until He completed it and made man in His image. Since we were made in His image; like Him, we ought to finish the assignment before us.

Today, many of us have problems finishing what we started. Some of us do not always finish something that started well. Despite putting their best efforts into what they do, many folks still experience stagnancy and retrogression. Some people’s desire to progress in life and be abundantly blessed is not manifesting because there are forces keeping them away from finishing their good starts; hence they cannot translate their expectations into reality.

The Psalmist experienced a similar trouble. So he cried out to God: “Finish what you have started in me, God don’t quit on me.” Psalms 138:8. Anyone whose work, job or profession involves the use of his hands needs to pray that his hands will always complete the good things they have started. Any curse programmed against our hands should be addressed in aggressive prayers.

Some people’s hands have put them into debts. Some people’s hands always spoil things. Some people’s handiworks are not appreciated whereas someone else who is not as skilled as they are would be getting all the opportunities and praises.

Dear friend, had everything been moving until you got stuck at a particular point in life? is there an area of your life that has been arrested by the anti-finish force? Did you start a course and then got stuck – not knowing whether you passed or failed? A lot of us have some abandoned visions and projects that are begging for completion. Some folks have become so confused because they have started so many things which they couldn’t just bring to a good finish. I pray, May God show you what to start doing and empower you to finish it well. In Jesus name!

Today’s corporate prayer: Any curse of “start but don’t finish” troubling my life, expire today. In Jesus name! (Continue to pray this prayer regularly).
