Heavenly help

My help comes from the LORD, who made the heavens and the earth! (Psa. 121:2, NLT).

None can do without help in life. We must need it at one point or the other. Psalm 54:4 said, Behold, God is my helper… Who is your own helper? True help is by divine intervention. Of a truth, a man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven (Jn. 3:27).

It is a fact that no matter how terrible a situation is, God’s not going to come down. He uses someone to help a person. God knew the importance of helpers, so he started the act of helping (See Gen. 2:18). Until one receives God’s help, things remain difficult. The battles of life can’t be fought alone. There are divinely ordained helpers that one must meet if victory is to be achieved.

For the Israelites to be free, Moses was needed. The world was to die of famine and hunger and Joseph was the needed help. So he had to be set free from the prison. The children of Israel had been in captivity for over four hundred years. Daniel appeared to help. He prayed for twenty one days, but the angel that was to bring the answers to his prayers was intercepted by the devil. God had to send a helper angel. It was then that there was a breakthrough.

A divine helper helps to make your situation better. He solves a major problem in your life. He is a bridge that links one to greatness. He helps one to fulfill his destiny. He carries you when you are down. He stays with you when you are in trouble. Divine help located the Israelites and the Red Sea parted before them. It located Hezekiah and he didn’t die in his sickness. It located Daniel. The lions could not kill him.

Divine help located the three young Hebrews and the king’s fire could not harm them. It located a widow in the Bible and she didn’t die of hunger and lack. It located Jabez and his story changed for good. When divine help locates a man he excels, prospers, is protected, favoured, blessed, healed, restored and promoted. To receive divine help you need to become a friend of God through Jesus. You need to trust in God and pray earnestly for his help. May our heads receive the oil of divine help today. In Jesus name!

Today’s corporate prayer: O Lord, I receive you as my helper. Arise for my urgent help. In the name of Jesus!
