Security Amidst Evil

Security Amidst Evil

Those who trust in the LORD are as secure as Mount Zion; they will not be defeated but will endure forever (Psalm 125:1; NLT).

We live in a world where security is at stake. With constant news of killings, bombings, robberies, earthquakes, floods, tsunamis, hurricanes and so on, we know the world is in trouble. But despite these, God’s children can expect to be secure. Trust is the basis for this. Trust means being confident that some things are actually true. And what can be trusted more than God’s word and promises? Who can be trusted more than God? None!

If you don’t know God’s promises, it’s bad enough. And if you don’t believe them it is as good as if you don’t know them. When you believe God’s promises, you will just automatically start to feel more secure.

You will simply trust that he will not fail to fulfill His promises to you. But this does not mean we should slack in our prayer life or in our service to the Lord. We must give no room to discouragement or whatever makes us feel disconnected from God.

Be it in the physical, spiritual, material, or financial form, security is ours in the Lord. Do you trust in the Lord? If yes, then you are as secure as Mount Zion! You will not be defeated, but endure forever. I pray; no matter the level of evil being perpetrated around us, it shall not touch us and ours. In Jesus name!

Today’s corporate prayer: Power of the Holy Ghost, overshadow my life. Make me untouchable to all evils. In the mighty name of Jesus!
