The way of the cross leads to home

Mathew 7:13-14 “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth to unto life, and few there be that find it.”

The way to heaven is a narrow way, the way that rejects every load of sin. You must drop your sin at the entrance before you can go therein. And if by the grace of God you’ve found that gate, you are among the few Jesus spoke about which is the way of the cross. It’s a way that rejects iniquity, transgression, hypocrisy, rebellion, disobedience to the word of God, pride, wickedness, fornication, immorality, cheating, lying, malignity, theft and all unrighteousness. Reader, art thou in this way?

Many who claim to be Christians, have forsaken the narrow way, and have gone for the broad way, because they are not willing to part with their sins for Christ and for heaven. They hold pleasure and worldliness so tight that they cannot give it up. They once came to the cross, but when the terms and conditions of the cross was given to them, they said, “This is an hard saying, who can hear it?” And from that time, many of them, returned to the broad gate, and despised the way of the cross that leads home.

Coming to Jesus is coming out of your evil ways and wickedness. Coming to Jesus is coming out of your occultism and idolatry. Coming to Jesus is coming out of your stealing and robbery. Coming to Jesus is coming out of your fornication and adultery.

Coming to Jesus is coming out of your filthy apparels, your uncleanness, your hypocrisies, your lies, your immorality, your lasciviousness, your pride, your self-will, your bribery, your corruption, and evil doings. If you are going to join the luxurious journey of the passengers of salvation to eternal life, you must throw off all these at the foot of the cross.

My brethren, as a soldier of Christ, I want to tell you that the world will not be at peace with you. You must be ready at all times to carry your cross. Remember, Jesus once went to the cross, leaving an example for us to follow. The cross did not spare him, but it slew him. Many who have taken this decision to walk in the way of the cross have suffered in this world because they strove against Satan, and the powers of darkness as they advanced to the kingdom of God.

They experienced both hostility from the adversary with his demonic host, and persecution that comes with standing in the way of the false prophets who distort the gospel. Many who have chosen this way of the cross, had to suffer a lifelong battle against sin, by crucifying their sinful desires.

Reader, wilt thou walk in this way? Walk therein, for it is the only way to eternal life.
Then said Jesus unto the twelve, will you also go away? And I’m asking you today: will you go away like the rich young ruler because you are not willing to part with your riches and forsake the pleasures of the world? Let no man deceive you. The journey of the cross is a serious and a focused one.

Here is my decision. I will remain on the strait gate rejects sin, “I am for JESUS!” I’ve set my feet on this way of holiness, which is the way of the cross, and I bid farewell to the way of the world to walk in it no more, for my Lord says come and I seek my home, where he waits at the open door.

Dear Reader, are you truly saved? If not, delay no longer, heed to the call of salvation. Reader, are you a backslider, but still wearing the cloth of religion? Come back home for the Lord is calling you. There is no more time, the end is nigh, soon men’s heart will fail them for fear, because they rejected the strait and narrow way of the cross that leads to everlasting life.
