Wonderful wonders

How great are his signs, how mighty his wonders… (Daniel 4:3, NIV).

To many of us, wonders are amazing events that happen once in a while; which are usually striking and powerful! More often than not, our examples of signs and wonders include when the dead is raised back to life; when sight is restored to the blind or when the paralytic rises from his wheelchair, healed!

But we are surrounded by miracles. Wonders are happening all around us. They may not be as striking as some miracles of the Bible days or present time, but they are mighty all the same. Think about the billions of people on earth and imagine where the tonnes of food they feed on come from every day! What about the daily salvation of sinners’ souls through faith in Christ? Who has paid God for the free air we breathe in and the water we use since we were all born? Think about God’s love for mankind and His grace upon your life as an individual.

Has God ever healed you of an illness? Have you ever escaped a big tragedy narrowly? Have you reached a point where you gave up and yet God came through for you? Has God done something for you, which you had earlier considered ‘an impossibility’? To some of us, that we are still alive today is nothing short of wonder. You might think you have never seen any miracles or wonders. But just look closely at your life, you’ll realise that even you are wonder personified.

Dear friend, if you are born again, you are a wonder. You are invaluable. Keep living out the wonders of God until it is established beyond every doubt that you are a bundle of wonders. You were made by the best Manufacturer and Designer. He had a purpose in mind when He was ‘designing’ you. You are not an accident. With your life placed in His hands, things change and an unstoppable flow of wonders results.

Today’s Corporate Prayer: O Lord, thank you for your wonders in my life. I ask that you make me an object of your greater wonders so that through me, the world may witness a greater dimension of your wonders than they have ever seen. In Jesus mighty name!
