Prioritizing insight

if you make Insight your priority, and won’t take no for an answer, Searching for it like a prospector panning for gold, like an adventurer on a treasure hunt, Believe me, before you know it Fear-of-God will be yours; you’ll have come upon the knowledge of God. (Proverbs 2:3-5, MSB).

There are certain things we are learning now that don’t look relevant. Attending certain programmes here and there might not look like anything serious right now. But the truth is, no knowledge is lost. We can learn in every situation as well as we can learn anywhere. At times, academic knowledge or a form of apprenticeship might be God’s way of preparing you for something in your future, which you have not yet found out.

The things a man passes through in life prepare him for something, provided he’s willing to learn from them. Without an attitude of learning, we won’t get the insights we need to get ahead in life. And without such insights there can be no greatness because one will just remain the same. Lack of insights is the reason why stagnation holds so many people down.

Our text today urges us to make insight our priority. Whether you are praying, meditating, reading, eating, walking, travelling, playing or on your job, you should be on the lookout for insights. God can speak divine insights into your spirit anytime or anywhere.

There are basic questions we should frequently ask ourselves, like: ‘What’s my purpose in life?’ ‘Am I supposed to be bigger than I am?’ ‘Is my present level of spirituality the highest attainable?’ ‘Is there something God wants me to do that I am yet to find out?’, and so on. It is important to obey what God wants us to do now so that we can qualify for the next level of our lives. May we receive the grace discover divine insights. In Jesus name!

Today’s corporate prayer: O Lord, I ask for divine insights and wisdom to become the best version of myself. In the mighty name of Jesus!
