Bow NotBow Not

Daniel 3:16-18

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered, “Your Majesty, we will not try to defend ourselves. If the God whom we serve is able to save us from the blazing furnace and from your power, then he will. But even if he doesn’t, Your Majesty may be sure that we will not worship your god, and we will not bow down to the gold statue that you have set up.”

The situation of things nowadays may look terrible, many are passing through life challenges; Some are sick, some have lost their job, some are persecuted, some are intimidated, some are harassed, some are mocked, some are disgraced, some are under pressure, some are discouraged, some have been disappointed, some are oppressed, some are facing confrontation, some are in difficult situations, some are tempted.

The word of God for you today is, “bow not.” No matter the challenges, situation, affliction, difficulties, pressure, harassment, mockery, etc, bow not! Hold on to the author and finisher of your faith.

  • Does is look like your friends are prospering through prostitution, and you’re already thinking of joining them? Don’t give in, bow not!
  • Are your colleagues riding Jeeps through foul means and they are already inviting you? Bow not!
  • Are you already thinking of patronising psychics due to life’s challenges? Bow not!

  • Is your lecturer demanding for sex before you can pass his course? Bow not!

The three Hebrews had so many reasons to bow; they should have been afraid of losing their position, they should have been annoyed with God for allowing the Babylonians conquer them, they were aware that their people were slaves of Babylon. But they still chose to identify with God. This should have been a great opportunity to be in the good book of King Nebuchadnezzar.

  • Is the devil always reminding you of the past? Bow not because you are now righteousness and holy.
  • Is the devil always reminding you that you have families to cater for? Thereby putting pressure on you to make money through any means possible, bow not! Bow not to the voices of the enemies.
  • Are your parents putting pressure on you to go against the will of God for your life? Bow not!
  • Is the devil ministering to you to commit crime? Bow not!
  • Are you planning to divorce your spouse? Bow not to the enemy of your home.
  • Has friends been advising you to visit fetish places because of someone that is sick in your family? Bow not!
  • Are you tempted to become a scammer, robber, fraudster, hooligans, prostitute? Bow not!

Joseph said to Potiphar’s wife, “how then could I do such an immoral thing and sin against God?” remember rapture is about taking place. The race is almost over. Don’t give in to the devil, resist him and he will flee. Bow not!

I pray the devil will not rejoice over your life in Jesus name.
