Esteeming each other

Esteeming each other

Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; (Romans 12:10, KJV).

When you don’t know the value of a thing, you will abuse it. You can’t respect others until you know that God values all his creation. Certain folks treat others with disregard, believing that respect is something they have to get but not give.

Respect covers giving allowances for others’ feelings, wishes, views, privacy, experience, ages, individualities, and so on. Check yourself. Are you courteous or rude? Do you take the advantage of your privileges, wealth, position, talents or extrovertedness to disrespect others? What do you say to others? Do you talk or act like you don’t care how the other person feels?

Have you come across some individuals who act like they are doing you a great favour to exchange greetings with you? Some individuals feel seriously offended when they don’t get the same respect they don’t give. Even in the Body of Christ, some highly spiritual people pay little attention to the fact that they are being disrespectful.

In the home, husbands who love to be respected should not act or talk to their wives disrespectfully like they are nonentities, whose opinions do not count. No wife, too, should take her husband’s niceness for granted. If you been disrespectful in any way and to anyone, you can start making necessary amendments today. May His grace help us. In Jesus name!

Today’s corporate prayer: I destroy every seed of disrespect and disregard in my life. In Jesus mighty name!
