Holiness and Sanctification

Holiness and SanctificationHoliness and Sanctification

1 Corinthians 1:30 “But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.”

Holiness is the outward manifestation of inward sanctification.

Every day of our christian lives calls us to holiness – The central thing of the new convenant. God is holy, Christ is holy, the Spirit of God is holy, the throne upon which God sits is holy, the angels are holy, heaven itself is holy, and whoever will have fellowship with God here on earth, and over there in yonder place must be holy through and through.

There’s no, I’m trying in it. There’s no God understands, there’s no, I’m patching up. Holiness is a requirement for Christians who are desiring a better country (heaven). Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood suffered without the gate. To present unto himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing, but that we should be holy and without blemish.

This wonderful provision is available to those who are in Christ. Therefore, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Knowing fully well that the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, will purge our conscience from dead works to serve the living and true God.

Holiness is the mark of a true believer, and sanctification makes us God’s elect and citizens of his kingdom. If we conserve and persevere in the sanctified life as we await the sound of the trumpet. Abundant grace like a river is still flowing at Calvary. Don’t mind what you have been in the past, and how difficult you’ve thought holiness is.

Today, call upon the LORD and he shall sanctify your heart through faith in the blood, and make you pure and perfect. Defer no more, for the end is near, even at the door. When the trumpet shall sound and Christ shall come, and the LORD shall examine all our works, will he find us holy, pure, and righteous?

Will he find that we have that inner new man which after God, is created in righteousness and true holiness? will he find us having holiness before him all the days of our lives? Remember that without holiness, no man shall see God.
