How Jesus caught a babe

How Jesus caught a babe

It was obvious that she was a hot babe! after she had been with four different men, the fifth still wanted her.

She was a middle aged woman a harlot by profession. honey I’m coming, I want to go and fetch water from the well I guess she must have told her fifth husband this, before leaving the house that afternoon.

Wait! did I say ‘husband? Let’s cancel the husband and put ‘boyfriend’, yes! She was living with her fifth boyfriend.

Getting to the well, she brought out a fetcher from her bag, deeped it inside the well and started drawing out water, she continued this consecutively.

give me water to drink, a voice said to her from behind, she looked behind to know who’s voice it was, it was Jesus “you didn’t come with a fetcher what then should I use to get you water? she questioned.

…you know the story…

The point I’m trying to draw out from this story is the tactics Jesus used, he started the message with what the woman was doing at that particular time and boom! he won the woman’s attention.

He saw the lady fetching water and he didn’t start his message with ” repent for hell fire is real” he didn’t start with “aunty this trouser you are wearing is a sin” neither did he start with “don’t you know that painting your lips and making this type of your hair is a sin?”.

No! he didn’t start his message using any of those outlined but rather he started with, what the woman was doing at that given time.

Do not start your message with, if you do not repent you will burn in hell fire while preaching to a woman cutting grass under the hot sun, do not tell a young man who’s suffering from depression that, God hates him because he’s a sinner” in the course of preaching to him.

Because you may end up leaving the person worst than before you met him/her.

Jesus used different strategies to preach to different people.

Strategy is mandatory while preaching, energy alone isn’t enough.
