Restoration of Honour

Restoration of HonourRestoration of Honour

1 Samuel 1: 6-7 “Peninnah, her rival, would torment and humiliate her, because the Lord had kept her childless. This went on year after year; whenever they went to the house of the Lord, Peninnah would upset Hannah so much that she would cry and refuse to eat anything.”

Restoration is to bring back. It is to put something or someone in the right or proper order. Devil has stolen so many things from man, among those things is honour.

  • Some children dishonour their parents.
  • Some wives dishonour their husband.
  • Some husbands dishonour their wife.
  • Some church members dishonour their Pastor.
  • Some workers dishonour their boss.
  • Some citizens dishonour their President and Governors.
  • Some lecturers have lost their honour before students.
  • Some families have lost their honour in the society.
  • Some Managers have lost their honour before the female employees.

Peninnah refused to honour Hannah because she was unable to bear children. Peninnah would humiliate, torment and upset Hannah so much that she would cry and refuse to eat anything. Peninnah is very good in parables. She knows how to sing abusive and rebellious songs. Any time Peninnah was around, Hannah dare not talk, sing, laugh, sleep, or send Peninnah’s children on errand.

But one day, the God of Israel restored her honour by giving her children. God gave her a voice again. There was no more weeping, crying, loneliness, sadness, bitterness, rejection, oppression, defeat, disgrace, humiliation, and upset. All these vanished from the life of Hannah. If Hannah was restored, you will be restore in Jesus name.

From what angle is the enemy tampering with your honour?
Are you being ridicule because of your past life, rape, conviction, poverty, sickness, stigma, curse, failure, disappointment, barrenness, unemployment, late marriage? If Hannah was restored, your time to be restored is now in Jesus name.

However, if you are still a sinner, God may not restore your honour. You have to accept Jesus Christ for you to regain your honour. Are you ready? Confess the following with your mouth;

Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I know you died because of me. I accept you as my Lord and Saviour today. Daddy please write my name in the Book of Life. Help me to follow you till the end of days. In Jesus name. Amen.

Ways to the Restoration of Honour
Don’t go back to your sinful life

  • Hannah didn’t misbehave, so don’t do wrong things like fighting and visiting fettish places.
  • Hannah prayed earnest prayers, so you must pray earnest prayers.
  • Hannah vowed, so make a vow but the one you can fulfill.
  • Hannah respected and honored the Minister of God (Eli), so don’t disrespect or dishonour any minister of God.
  • Hannah waited upon the Lord, so you must wait patiently upon the Lord.
