Restoration of Power
Genesis 17:1 “When Abraham was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to him and said, “I am the Almighty God. Obey me and always do what is right.”
Devil has tactically made the children of God to constantly live in disobey to God, thereby disconnecting them from their source of power and rendering them powerless.
- Some usually have supernatural encounter with God but not anymore.
- Some, while sleeping, God personally wake them for prayers, unfortunately, that also is not happening anymore.
- Some, God usually call them by name whenever HE wants to speak to them but it’s no more so.
- Some, God usually come to tap their legs while sleeping to wake them but it’s no more.
- Some usually see a teacher in their dream who teaches them songs ( Musicians ), Mathematics ( Teacher / Student ), how to resolve a problem in a vehicle ( Mechanic ), how to invent new things ( Scientist ) but it’s no more.
- Some are spiritually sensitive but it’s no more.
- God usually reveals examination questions to some but it’s no more.
- The favour of God on some, is to cause people to highly patronise them but it’s no more.
- Some of them cast out devils with ease but now they struggle.
- Some see visions and revelations but it’s no more.
- Like Abraham, some usually have a close relationship with God but have been abandoned for years.
Abraham enjoyed a cordial relationship with God. God led, directed and instructed him but when he fell into the sin, God abandon him for 13 years. His wife advised him to sleep with Hagar and he obeyed her without consorting God.
- So he lost his power to hear from God for 13 years.
- He lost his power to gain access to the presence of Almighty God.
- He delayed and stagnated himself for 13 years.
Maybe it was as actually time for God to bless him with a child but the devil made him disobey God at that very moment. He wanted to bless them and as a result of their disobedient, God postponed His blessing. God however, had mercy on Abraham and told him to walk before Him (God) and be perfect.

Abraham was restored after 13 years. He started enjoying the presence of God again. He started enjoying the leading of God again.
Ways to Restoration of Power
- Ask God to forgive you and repent.
- Do not allow anything to take the place of God in your life.
- Love God more than your husband, wife, children, boss, television, telephone, work, money, pastor, book, football, car, house, visa, jewelries, clothes.
- Pray and fast regularly.
- Always study your Bible.
- Be holy.
- Obey God always (and do His will ).
- Preach the Gospel as much as you can. (according to your capacity).
Ultimately, our good God that restored Abraham will restore all the powers we have lost in Jesus name. AMEN!
