The Greatest Happiness

Luke 10 : 20 But don’t be glad because the evil spirits obey you; rather be glad because your names are written in heaven.

We are in the world of battles. This world has no other name but trouble. You do not need to offend anyone before trouble comes. Battle or trouble won’t give notice before it comes. Battle has no respect for anyone. Everyone including presidents, world leaders, pastors, herbalists, witches, soldiers, kings and so on have different troubles to nurse.

Battles won’t spare you whether you are male or female, young or old, black or white, rich or poor, literate or illiterate, brilliant or not, ugly or beautiful, single or married, leader or follower, pastor or church members.

However, everyone is looking for some form of happiness. We are all looking for a way to be free from troubles. We also have areas of our strength.

Some of the things that make people happy

Some are happy because they are comfortable, rich, educated, leaders, promoted, married, brilliant, beautiful, white, +celebrities, famous, professors, doctors, pilots, musicians, presidents, pastors and so on.

Some are happy because they have cars, mansions, lots of money, companies, estates, brilliant children, beautiful wives, talents, authority, good jobs, gifts of the spirit, etc.

But Jesus is telling you today, don’t be glad because of all these things that you have or possess, rather be glad if your name is written in heaven.

My friend, is your name written in heaven? Look at yourself sincerely, are you a heavenly candidate? All these earthly blessings are temporary. The greatest happiness you should be celebrating is having your name written in the book of life. No wonder angels celebrate each time someone gives his or her life to Jesus Christ.

There won’t necessarily be celebration in heaven because you became a professor. Angels will not rejoice because you just bought a jet or built a mansion. There won’t be a celebration in heaven if you make millions of dollars or become famous. It is good to marry and have intelligent children but these might not make the angels rejoice. The only thing that will make angels celebrate is if you give your life to Jesus and live in Him.

Why Do Angels Celebrate?

•  It’s because your name is now written in the Book of Life.
• It’s because you have escaped hell fire.
• It’s because they also know that they are going to meet you one on one when you leave the earth and
• Because you have been translated from darkness to light.

So your greatest joy should rest on being sure that your name is written in the Book of Life. Of course your name won’t be written in heaven if you are a sinner. You have to surrender your life to Jesus today.

Are you ready? Say this powerful prayer: Lord Jesus, I come to you today as a sinner. Please forgive me of my sins. I confess with my mouth that you are my Lord and Saviour. I believe that God raised you from death. I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. I say goodbye to the devil. Please write my name in the Book of Life.

Receive the grace to remain in Christ forever in Jesus name.
