Time and purpose

Time and purpose

There is a time for everything, a season for every activity under heaven (Ecclesiates 3:1, NLT).

Time is divided into seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, decades and so on. It can also be broadly divided into the past, present and future. Time doesn’t wait or stop. It can’t be paused or held down. You can stop your wrist watch but you cannot stop time. The life of man is under the control of time. That’s why the word of God says there is time for everything under heaven. We are all stewards of time. We shall give the account of our lives to God and it’s all about how we spend our time.

There is a time to be born. There is a time to start talking. There is a time to start walking. There is a time to start learning. There is a time to stop being totally dependent on others. There is a time to take charge for yourself and even others. There is a time to know God on a personal basis. There is a time to enter into the call of God for your life. There is a time when you should surrender your life to Jesus; and the best time to do that is now.

Sadly, time is being wasted day by day. Time is wasted when it is spent doing what God did not intend you to spend it on. People who are not doing any worthy thing with their time are wasting time. Some are spending less time on what they should be doing and spending more time on things they are not supposed to be doing. It still amounts to a waste of time.

Do we realise that time is life and life is time? Years ago, some people said that by now they would have achieved a lot of things. But years have passed and they have not achieved one-third of their target. Wasting one’s time is actually a tragedy. The question is: with the way you are spending your time now, where do you see yourself in the next five or ten years?

Until we committedly use our time to pursue divine purpose, experiencing a positive change may remain a dream. What are you doing with your abilities and potentials? Will you be ready for a change of life style? Are you ready to leave your comfort zone? Do you see an opportunity in every obstacle or you see an obstacle in every opportunity? May we find the courage to make the best of our time. In Jesus name!

Today’s corporate prayer: I connect to the grace to enter into my prophetic destiny. In the mighty name of Jesus!
