Anytime and anywhere

Anytime and anywhere

Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? (Psalm 139:7; NKJV).

A man gave a testimony about his life. He was deeply into drinking and womanizing. So his wife left him. His two children also became wayward. His daughter went into prostitution and his son into cultism and crime. So, considering the fact that he had lost it all, he opted for suicide. However, he decided that before exiting this world, he would have his last drink. So he went to his favourite bar with the aim of committing suicide when he returned home.

But when he got to the bar, a woman brought a Christian movie to her friend – the bar owner. The woman slotted the disc into the player and somehow, the man became glued to the movie. It was like the movie was an exact replay of all that had happened to him. To cut the story short, he gave his life to Christ that night. He was later reunited with his family and they all got born again.

More often than not, a man gets saved in a church service, an evangelistic outreach or a fellowship programme. His conversion is usually as a result of hearing God’s word from a preacher or an evangelist. But who could have thought that God would ‘use’ unsaved fellows to save a man? Who would expect God to meet this man at a beer parlour? Yet that was where God came to him.

We can meet God at unexpected times and in unanticipated circumstances of life. God is never restricted by the limitations of our thinking. He can show up anytime and anywhere. At times when God is set to visit you, not even your location or spiritual state can stop Him. Dear friend, somewhere, somehow, expect to have an encounter with Him today. I pray, He shall locate you no matter your location. In Jesus name!

Today’s corporate prayer: O Lord, even if I am already lost, locate me by your mercy. In the mighty name of Jesus!
