Forgiveness

Forgiveness Forgiveness

For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses (Mathew 6:14,15, KJV).

Forgiveness is not always easy, but forgiving someone who has hurt you is the best thing you can do for yourself. It sets you free and allows you to move on with your glorious life. We all want God to forgive us. So we have to forgive others so as to receive God’s forgiveness.

Jesus was an ideal example of forgiveness. He asked for God’s forgiveness for those who stripped him, whipped him and nailed him to the cross.

He didn’t say anything against them. He endured the pain and made it to glory. Satan uses unforgivingness as a ladder to access many lives. We need to pay attention as the Holy Spirit calls our attention to anyone he wants us to forgive.

As simple as it sounds, we cannot overlook the importance Jesus attached to it. If you want to prove that you are of God, then you must treat forgiveness as a divine command, not an option.

Today’s corporate prayer: O Lord, destroy the remote-control of the devil, which manipulates my life and the lives of our brethren. In Jesus name!
