Living the sanctified life

Living the sanctified lifeLiving the sanctified life

Philippians 3:12-13 “Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before.”

You are now saved and sanctified, the LORD expects you to conserve the experience of sanctification and daily live the sanctified life. Seeing you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that you love one another with a pure heart fervently. And as such, you abstain from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Watchfulness, prayerfulness, joined with a marathon in-depth bible study will give you an edge as you progress in the sanctified life – Because the word of God is pure, and by taking heed to it, it cleanses you from all sin. And then when hid in your heart keeps you from sinning against God.

Also, you must abstain from fleshly lust that war against the soul, and be not yoked together with unbelievers. But rather reprove the works of darkness and singing always with grace in your heart: “HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD.”

The sanctified life calls you to temperance in all things. It calls us to evangelise, and to be the salt of the earth in midst of a crooked and perverse nation among whom we shine as lights in the world. The sanctified life is obedient to all the commands of his Master. Never rebellious to the heavenly vision, but always obedient to the heavenly calling.

The sanctified life is not a friend to the world, and as such is always on his armour having his loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness and love, his feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace, taking the shield of faith, having on him the helmet of salvation, and always with the sword of the Spirit.

The sanctified life always carries a big banner everyday with the inscription, “Earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” Additionally, the sanctified life never misses his glorious song, “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.”
