Fear (Part 2)

Fear (Part 2)Fear (Part 2)

2 Timothy 1:7

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Fear is false evident appearing to be real. If you don’t have faith, you will definitely have fear. It is either you have fear of God or you have fear of the devil.

Prophet Elijah fled because he was afraid.

  • Fear made him to be replaced.
  • Fear ended his ministry.
  • Fear made Elijah to unconsciously underrate the power of God and exalt the power of Jezebel.
  • Fear made him to make negative confession.
  • Fear made him believe his sense organ more than God.
  • Fear made Elijah intimidated.
Fear made him to accelerate in the wrong direction.
  • Fear was the remote cause of his forty days fasting.
  • Fear made him pray the wrong prayer.
  • Fear moved him to a wrong location.
  • Fear rendered him powerless.
Fear made him kill one hundred and two innocent officers.
  • Fear made him doubt God’s ability.
  • Fear made him fall into unforgivable error.

The help that some people render today is out of fear. Fear has made some believe more in superstition than in power of God. Fear is making some to accept the verdict of devil for their life. fear is denying some of their miracles and blessings.

Devil usually uses fear to rob the children of the Most High. Fear is making some to bow to the devil. Fear is hindrance to what God is about doing in the lives of His children. Fear won’t allow us to believe in God alone. Fear will stop us from waiting upon the Lord. Fear will make us believe satanic dream, vision, and prophesy.

Jeremiah 29: 11 says, I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for. (GNB)

Romans 8:19 says, for the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

  • David manifested because he conquered fear.
  • The 3 Hebrews boys – Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego manifested because they conquered fear.
  • Esther manifested because she conquered fear.
  • Daniel manifested because he conquered fear.
  • Moses manifested because he overcame fear.
  • Apostle Paul manifested because overpowered fear.
  • Jesus disciples manifested because they conquered fear.
Joshua, Caleb, Ruth, Abraham, Noah, Bartimaeus, Apostle Babalola, Bishop Benson Idahosa. All manifested because they overcame fear.

Unfortunately, fear has stopped many children of God from manifesting. For us to manifest, we have to conquer the spirit of fear. Our fear must begin to fear us.
For us to conquer fear, we must know our rights as the children of God.

How do we know our rights? It is by studying and memorizing (not just read like a novel) the Bible.
What will happen when we start studying our Bible? Faith will come!

What happens when Faith comes?

  • Fear vanishes because fear cannot stand wherever faith is in operation.
  • Fear succeeds in our lives due to our ignorance of what the Bible says.
  • Fear succeeds in our lives because we do not believe what God says in the Bible.

We like talking to God through our prayers but we are not always ready for Him to talk back to us. In most cases, our prayers have always been a one way channel. When it ought to be a two way channel; praying to God and hearing from God.

This is the time to be familiar with our Bible (the Word of God) to know what God says concerning our lives and situations. God is not a man that He would lie so whatever He says concerning us in the Bible, that is exactly what He would do. He is not a joker.

Habakkuk 2:3 says, “put it in writing, because it is not yet time for it to come true. But the time is coming quickly, and what I show you will come true. It may seem slow in coming, but wait for it; it will certainly take place, and it will not be delayed.”
