My people are not preparing
Revelations 22:12
“Listen!” Says Jesus. “I am coming soon! I will bring my rewards with me, to give to each one according to what he has done.” (GNB)
A Pastor called in the evening of Sunday that he would be visiting us. Immediately, preparation started. Things that were not in order were put in order. Things that needed to be rearranged were rearranged. While this was going on the Holy Spirit said to me, “Can you see the preparations being made to receive a man of God whereas my people are not preparing for the second coming of Jesus; despite the fact that they are aware of His second coming?”
The Holy Spirit told me to ask His people, “Are you preparing for the second coming of our Lord Jesus?”
My people are preparing for their jobs, businesses, family, food, outing, marriage, christening, festival, travelling, Christmas, examinations, interview, future, etc, but are not preparing for my second coming. How prepared are you?
We urgently need to shun anger, unforgiveness, hatred, malice, bitterness, envy, jealousy, fighting, pride, wickedness, selfishness, greediness, worldliness, fraud, stealing, lying, etc.
We need to operate in the fruit of the spirit. We need love, patience, kindness, hospitality, meekness, happiness, truthfulness, holiness, righteousness, the word of God, evangelism, etc.
If you have not accepted Jesus as your Lord then forget about Jesus’ second coming because Jesus is only coming for His children. Do you want to become one of His children?
Say this simple but powerful confession: Lord Jesus, I come to you today as a sinner. I surrender my life to you. Forgive me of all my sins. Write my name in the Book of Life. Thank you Lord Jesus Christ for saving me. Amen.
