The danger of hypocrisy

The danger of hypocrisyThe danger of hypocrisy

Mathew 23:27-28 “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.”

In these last days of religion, hypocrisy is on the increase in the lives of men. Many who profess the faith are full of hypocrisy. Even those who preach the gospel are full of hypocrisy. “They say, and do not. They bind heavy burdens, and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.”

They come with their false deception, unknown to ignorant believers, and they tell you this and that. Including how to be free from this/that sin, do this and do that, and yet they themselves are slaves to immorality, avarice, hypocrisy, and iniquity unto iniquity. This practice is also among some people who are from Christian homes and Christian families. They have known the way of the truth, and being nourished by the living word of God, it became light and radiated in them.

However, when they get to school, they’ll put it off because people make jest of them. Sometimes, these people may be few, who were bearing the light of holiness. Nonetheless, because they see the derision and ridicules from people who are living in darkness and ignorant of the truth of God’s word, they put off the light of their salvation.

Each time they return home on holiday, they put on the light as if their lamps are still burning. Unfortunately, these people often harden their heart to Biblical reprove. That’s, each time they’re corrected and shown the right way to return to God just like the prodigal son. And declare unto them the infallible doctrine of scriptural holiness, they’ll say, “Mr. holier than thou,” are you the most righteous person? They don’t take heed to correction.

The lust in their hearts has made the devil to cage them; whom resist steadfast in the faith. He taketh them from height to height, and show them the glory of this world, and how by their flesh they will dwell in it. Hence, they think the enjoyment of this world, with their half leg in the church will guarantee them peace of mind. Unfortunately, they don’t know that TRUE PEACE is in Christ Jesus, and that all the glory of this world is vanity.

God hates hypocrisy, and the practice of it is very dangerous, and damnable to the soul. Hypocrisy is not just a sin against God, but a sin against our own soul. But I’m afraid, there will be no excuse when our soul shall stand before the judgement seat of God to answer for the deeds we have done in this present world. There will be no excuse for whatsoever reason that made us reject the great salvation of God in Christ Jesus.

There won’t be any excuse my friend, school will not be an excuse, financial difficulties will not be an excuse. All the hypocrisy of some who claim to be servants of God will be judged. The Bible says “The soul that sinneth it shall die.” Repent today, and receive the grace of God to live a transparent holy life, that when the prince of this world cometh, he will not find somewhat against thee.

Let your light shine and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, rather reprove them; redeeming the time because the days are evil. May the LORD give us the grace to come out of all hypocrisy, and be real children of light, daily walking with Jesus in garments of white.
