The Good Shepherd (Part 3)

The Good Shepherd (Part 3)The Good Shepherd (Part 3)

Jeremiah 29 :11 I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for.

This words can only come from the good shepherd. The Psalmist said “the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not WANT” Psalm 23 : 1.

What is want?

  • It is a desire
  • It is a wish
  • It is what you are longing for
  • It is what you are lacking
  • It is what is absent in your life
  • It is what you require

There’s difference between WANT and NEED. It is possible to WANT what you don’t NEED. For example;

  • A 9 year old boy may WANT a wife but what he actually NEEDS is wisdom to prosper academically.
  • A sick man may WANT money when what he actually NEEDS is healing.
  • A prisoner may WANT food when what he actually NEEDS is freedom.

My WANTS are much and due to limited resources, I will go for my NEEDS. and this is how everyone is always handling things. When we have limited resources, we always deal with our NEEDS and ignore our WANTS.

But this good shepherd is different. HE is ready to give you both your NEEDS and WANTS. This good shepherd won’t allow you to WANT, how much more what you actually NEED. HE promised, you shall not WANT not to talk of being in NEED. This exactly what this good shepherd is capable of doing. Come to Him today and He will settle both your NEEDS and WANTS.
