Untouchable Happiness
‘.. for I have learned how to get along happily whether I have much or little’ (Philiphians 4:11, NLT).
No man can change his past. He doesn’t have control over everything he experiences. But he does have control over one thing – his happiness. If you choose to live happily, it’s your choice and it’s a brave one at that. If you think you have no reason to be happy, think again. If some people think you are not supposed to be happy, it’s their thought and it doesn’t have to be your thought.
The devil, your archenemy, would also suggest enough reasons to you why you should be down, weeping. Whether you are rich or poor, married or single, employed or unemployed, prospering or struggling, the devil will always want you to be bitter, angry, displeased, withdrawn, regretful, resentful or revengeful.
Being happy is a choice, so is being unhappy. You get gains in being happy, but pains in bitterness, moodiness, resentment or sorrow. If you think ‘pains’ is what you deserve you can allow it. But as for me, I choose happiness!
Freedom is not always free; it has a price. That price is your determination. So, choose happiness! Studying God’s word and meditating on His loving kindness and faithfulness keeps your faith and happiness alive. I pray, May you receive enough strength to ignore the devil’s every move to upset you and keep you down. In Jesus name!
