Who is a Wise Man?

Before we begin to search deep to know who a wise man is, we shall first define wisdom to know what it is before we can proceed to know who a wise person is before God.

The Meaning of Wisdom

So what is wisdom? Wisdom is a perfect and prudent management of knowledge. Or a good manager of sound Knowledge and understanding. Knowledge is understanding! Wisdom is discretion.

Knowledge therefore being a practical understanding of craft and skill, cannot be economically useful, productive and results-oriented if wisdom is not applied and properly utilized. To sum it, wisdom is the key leader and director of knowledge and understanding on business management, income wealth and production increase and growth.

Types of Wisdom

There are two kinds of wisdom:

  1. The Corrupt Wisdom
  2. The Pure Wisdom

1. Corrupt Wisdom

The corrupt wisdom is the wisdom that is earthly, carnal, sensual, selfish, crafty, deceptive, ungodly, deceitful, self-centered, imperfect and morally and spiritually immoral without self discipline and good moral conduct.
Those that prosper through this way are the people the world calls wise men today. But are they really wise? No, they are not. Their wisdom does not portray the character of God. Therefore, they are not wise, but blind men before God.

“This wisdom descends not from above, but is earthly, sensual and devilish” James 3: 15.

2. Pure Wisdom

Pure Wisdom is heavenly, perfect, peaceable, approachable, entreatable, upright, disciplined, lawful, cautious, careful, merciful, full of love, selfless and faultless with godly character and life. This is the wisdom that is from above.
Those who practice these are the people that are wise in God’s sight.

“But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy” James 3: 17.

So Who’s Now a Wise Man?

wise man here is someone who is pure, godly, perfect, gentle, peaceable, kind, merciful, upright, obedient and faultless in life before God and man in all things like Daniel. This is the person you can call a wise man.

“Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? Let him show out of a good conversation of his works, with meekness of wisdom” James 3:13.

This is whom God could liken to a wise man. He that heard His word and do it. He is the one God likens to a wise man that built his house on the rock; the rain, sun and wind fell, shined and blew upon it, it still stands and remain strong, Matthew 7:24-25.

That’s why I tell people that Solomon is not the wisest man that lived on earth. The wisest man on earth is Daniel. Daniel was the only man on earth that was without fault and rebuke, except the sin of Adam in man. In fact, amongst the three perfect men on earth, Job, Daniel and Noah, Daniel was the most perfect amongst them.
That was why when they were looking for a fault against him, they said;

“As for this Daniel if we are looking for a fault against him we can’t find it , except by the law of his God,” Daniel 6: 4-5.

That’s why he’s called the greatly beloved of God because of his uprightness and faultless life of God he exhibited that made him the adumbration and example of those that will be wise, perfect and holy in their ways as it was written concerning him in this wise: “Satan the wiser than Daniel”, instead of Solomon.         So with this scripture it’s obviously proved now that Daniel is wiser than Solomon, Ezekiel 28: 3.

Though it’s true that Solomon wrote Proverbs, Ecclesiastes and Songs of Solomon. With other talent displays in leadership style, knowledge of understanding and wisdom in execution of judgments, yet he was carnal, sensual, immoral, unfaithful, inconsistent, undisciplined, idolatrous and lose with the opposite sex that made him marry one thousand wives.

And these outlandish women lured him in the latter days of his life to the worship of idols which became a great offence of sin against him before the Lord that led to the disintegration of his kingdom into two parts by the Lord after his demise to South and Northern kingdoms.

If it had not been the covenant God had with David, that if his children sin against Him He will chasten them with the chastisement of men, but His mercy and loving kindness shall He not withdraw from them; Solomon would have gone to Hell because of his inconsistency and failure to live by his words of prescription like an American Pastor and preacher Jimmy Swargat, who wrote how to overcome flesh, but he could not overcome it.

He was caught in bed with a woman who was not his wife in his hotel room and was excommunicated from the Church he was the general overseer and pioneer founder because he could not live by what he preaches, he therefore became an excommunicant of his own Church.

Therefore a wise man is someone who is consistent in his ways. He is someone who is a living example of his own words. He is one who seeks for Jesus. Those who seek for Jesus are those that live by their words of prescriptions. This is the real colour, picture and true life of a wise man. So be the real wise man today!
