How to overcome modern challenges (Part 1)
Indecent dressing – 1 PETER 3:3
This is one of the ways that devil is using to capture the souls of men. Indecent dressing is beyond the physical. How could this be explained?
#1. Someone that appears in public very scantily dressed.
#2. Persons exposing part of their private parts during occasions to draw attention to themselves.
Just like music industry, the same way dressing styles were revealed to some fashion designers by demons.
- Pastors have been seduced due to indecent dressing.
- It has scattered some families.
- Wrong judgments have been delivered.
- Some have been arrested due to the way they dressed.
- Many ladies have been raped due to their dressing.
- It has made Christian ladies to fall to the hands of unbelievers.
- It has made bosses, landlords, Friends, lecturers,…to develop ungodly interest in ladies.
- It has made many men to lust after ladies.
- Some have received invitation to join cult group due to the way they dress.
- That’s why some were unable to win souls for Jesus Christ.
When Adam and Eve were naked:
- They knew it
- They admitted it
- They try to correct it.
But people argue today. Some will tell you they want to avoid heat. Others say full clothing make them uncomfortable.
God doesn’t want to see nakedness. While you are entitled to your dress sense opinion… God has a right to dictate what His children should wear.
Exodus 23:2 says, you shall not follow multitude to do evil. Just because many people are involved in indecent dressing, does not make it right.
Unfortunately, people have taken dressing for fashion, instead of for covering nakedness that God made it for.
People have willingly allowed the evil desire of their heart to rob them of valuable trust in God.
Hope the way you dress is not making people to stumble? Remember Jesus’ warning in Mark 9:42-50.
WHAT TO DO
- Don’t receive the curse of God due to your dressing.
- Before you buy or wear a cloth ask will it cause men to lust after me? Is this what Jesus would want me to wear? Is this decent?
Your cloth too should reflect Christ. The world says you should dress to suit its function but Bible says you should dress to suit heaven.
The world says beauty is external and physical but Bible tells us that beauty is internal and spiritual.
The world says you should dress for people to notice you but the Bible says you are to please God and glorify Him.
The world says the purpose of dressing is to uncover and to reveal but the Bible says the purpose of clothing is to cover and conceal.
Always dress to look pretty and beautiful, don’t dress to look sexy. Queens and first ladies don’t dress to look sexy, they always dress to look beautiful, adorable and pretty. But bed ladies will dress otherwise because, like whores, their value and biggest asset is in bed.
Make yourself valuable, cover up ladies. Let your daughter be proud of you in future, and stop being object of lust and passion.
I pray in Jesus name, the remote control that the powers of darkness are using over you, is destroyed.
