Push yourself

Push yourself

Though your beginning was small, Yet your latter end would increase abundantly (Job 8:7, NKJV).

The greatest challenge in any venture is to take the first step. But as God’s children, we can trust in Him who teaches us to profit, (and) leads us by the way we should go (Isaiah 48:17). But that’s not all. It is not unscriptural to go for training so as to acquire knowledge in your area of pursuit. That might mean going to a college or enrolling for apprenticeship under an experienced tutor in your area of interest. Your past experience(s) or seeking advice from someone doing well in such an area might also be very helpful.

Starting from where you are and with what you have is key. You don’t have to wait till you can start big. Acknowledge that God can bless your little talent or resources. God’s word says even if your beginning was small, there is room for abundant increase! (Job 8:7). Keep meditating on this scripture until your spirit man has absorbed its reality.

Beloved, a heavenly power resides in us. Not you or others can tell what you can do or how far you can go until you have tried to put your gift(s) into use. Until you have put your heart into what you were ordained to be or do, every other thing you are doing is like a freedom that does not set free, salvation that cannot save and redemption that does not redeem.

You were made to be you. Stop trying to imitate others. To be envious of a successful fellow is another gateway to depression. There are certain heights we cannot attain until we have found the divine blueprint of our lives. Until then, living on the peanuts of life is inevitable. There is need to immerse the totality of our energies into discovering who God has called us to be. And when we have made that discovery, procrastination must be bound. So, let’s start out and have faith in God. May we secure the Lord’s backing as we step out in humble faith. In Jesus mighty name!

Today’s corporate prayer: O Lord, deliver me from purposelessness and directionlessness. In the mighty name of Jesus!
